Jim Allen    www.jimallentown.com

Allen's music has been described as the bastard offspring of Leonard Cohen and Johnny Cash.

Straight out of the Bronx, and the only known right-handed man playing guitar left-handed, upside-down with five strings, in a self-invented tuning, Jim combines American roots music (country, R&B, soul, Tex-Mex, etc.) with dark, poetic imagery leavened by just the right touch of self-deprecating humor.

Jim Allen’s 3rd album, Wild Card, both amplifies the country/Americana feel and intensifies the sometimes sardonic lyrical attack.

Ken Beasley    www.kenbeasley.com

Not quite country. Not quite jazz. Somehow, this Texas native manages to tap into everything from Flamenco to Motown, Classical to Disco, Blues to folk, and creates an adventurous sound all his own.

Borrowing from his years as a flamenco guitarist, Beasley presents his rootsy compositions on a nylon-string guitar in unique finger-style rhythms. The styles blend seamlessly to form a mood that’s traditional, yet exciting & fresh.

Beasley’s solo debut 'Greenhorn' is slated for release later this year.

Andy Germak   www.andygermak.com

Having grown-up in six different states, lived in Italy, and explored most of the US, Europe and South America, Andy Germak (pronounced Ger' mack as in Gertrude) presents a well-traveled perspective in his songs. Reminiscent of Freedy Johnston, Elvis Costello, Ryan Adams, and Bruce Springsteen, Germak's mix of intelligent, sometimes social-political, lyrics and roots-pop musical hooks yields "a distinct form of 21st century protest music," according to All Music Guide.

Germak’s latest EP, Anybody Ever Really Know Anyone, features reworked versions of songs from his 2nd CD, Communications.
